Carver County Parks has added two more opportunities to visit one of Lake Waconia's most unique destinations.
Free pontoon shuttle and tour events will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 22 and Sept. 19, departing from Paradise Commons at Lake Waconia Regional Park.
Visitors can enjoy a relaxing ride to Coney Island and explore the island's history, natural features and scenic views during a guided historical nature hike led by park staff.
The service is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon arrival, visitors will receive a ticket with their approximate departure time.
Guests should plan to spend approximately 45 to 60 minutes or longer on the island depending on shuttle schedules and demand. Life jackets are provided and required. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
