Request for Qualifications 

Carver County, Minnesota is requesting qualifications from qualified Construction Management firms capable of providing Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) professional pre-construction and construction management services for the Government Center Project.

Carver County is in the process of developing plans and specifications for the re-envisioning of the existing Carver County Government Center located in Chaska, Minnesota. On the existing 13-acre parcel, five buildings currently exist. Two buildings will be demolished as part of the project and replaced by the construction of an approximate 100,000 square foot government center building(s). In addition, about 30,000 square feet of government center space will be renovated.

The construction management firm will assist with preconstruction services including any value engineering exercise; performing constructability reviews; and leading bid efforts. The construction manager will also be responsible for the management of the project throughout construction from start to finish (including punch list, warranty items, commissioning, and project complete closeout), preparing accurate and complete pay requests, and providing project closeout services.

The issuance of this Request for Qualifications does not obligate Carver County to award a contract, pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a response, or complete the project. Carver County reserves the right to cancel the solicitation if it is considered to be in its best interest.
