Access to nutritious, affordable, and culturally relevant foods is important for overall health and wellbeing. Eating well can play an important role in preventing chronic disease, providing enough energy to carry out daily activities, support mental well-being, promote growth and development in children, and much more.

There is no single “right way” to eat healthy. Instead, it’s most important to focus on consuming healthy foods—fruit, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and protein—as part of your overall meal pattern. Check out Harvard's The Nutrition Source for more information on how to eat a balanced diet. There are many resources to make it easier to eat right and improve your health while still enjoying the foods you love. Illustration of a grocery bag filled with items with an arrow on the bag next to the text, "Find Food Carver County"
