What is Asthma?

Asthma is a chronic condition that affects the airways in the lungs. When someone has asthma, their airways can become inflamed or narrowed, making it harder to breathe. Symptoms can include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and tightness in the chest. With the right support, asthma can be managed effectively.

The program is free and includes up to three home visits. During these visits, the nurse can help you understand asthma and common home triggers, identify ways to reduce your child's symptoms, and connect you with helpful community resources.
