All young children grow and learn at their own pace, but some may experience delays in their development. It is important to identify delays early so children can get the support they need for the best developmental outcomes.
Help Me Grow Minnesota is a state program that provides resources for families. It helps parents learn about developmental milestones, understand possible concerns, and request a free, confidential screening or evaluation for their child.
Carver County Public Health nurses offer home visits and referral services to families with children who have special health needs because of developmental or physical disabilities, or chronic or infectious diseases. Free information, support, and referral services are available for young children who may be experiencing delays.
If you have questions about how a child is learning, listening, playing, hearing, talking, moving, or seeing, call Help Me Grow of Carver County at (952) 567-8210, or visit Help Me Grow Minnesota.
