Auctioneer License
Minnesota Statute 330.01 requires that auctioneers in the state of Minnesota be licensed. An application for an auctioneer license is made in your county of residence. Licenses are valid for one year.
Cannabis
The following Cities and Townships have transferred Cannabis Retail Registrations to Carver County: Benton Twp, Camden Twp, Dahlgren Twp, Hancock Twp, Hollywood Twp, Laketown Twp, San Francisco Twp, Waconia Twp, Watertown Twp, Young America Twp, Carver, Chanhassen, Cologne, Hamburg, Mayer, New Germany, Norwood Young America, and Victoria.
Carver County register's low potency hemp retailers for cities and townships that have transferred cannabis retail registrations to Carver County. These registrations do NOT count towards the County limit of 10 Cannabis Retail Registrations.
As of 3/27/26, three Cannabis Retail Registrations have been approved in Carver County: 1 in Victoria and 2 in Chaska
As of 4/21/26, two Low Potency Hemp Edible (LPHE) Registrations have been approved by the Carver County Board of Commissioners.
Charitable Gambling License
Carver County accepts applications for charitable gambling events such as Bingo, Paddlewheels, Pull Tabs, Raffles and Tip Boards when being held within township limits. Those holding events in city limits, need to contact the city of the event for the application.
Fireworks
Carver County issues fireworks licenses for events held in township limits.
Liquor License
Carver County accepts applications for liquor licenses for businesses in township limits.
Precious Metal Dealer License
Tobacco License
Carver County accepts applications for tobacco licenses for all municipalities except: Chaska, Hamburg, Waconia and Watertown.
