Land Notification
LAND NOTIFICATION ALERTS
Alerts
Land Notification Alerts warn property owners when documents are recorded using their personal or business name. Each time an alert is triggered, an email is sent providing information including the date and type of document that was recorded
How does this work?
Land Notification alerts are a free service provided by the county to help property owners. Once you are signed up, you may create multiple alerts as needed (spouse name, nick name, business name, parent's name, etc.). You will only receive an email when your alert information matches a new document recorded at the county. You can unsubscribe to this service at any time.
Why should I sign up?
Mortgage and real estate fraud is a growing crime in our society. It can occur when someone illegally uses your name on records related to your property for financial gain or acquisition of your assets. If this happens and you have signed up, you will be alerted and able to contact authorities for assistance as soon as possible.
How do I sign up?
To sign up for this free service, go to Carver County Land Notification to register. Complete the registration form, confirm your email, and set up your alerts.
Deed Solicitation Scams
Some companies have sent mailing to homeowners that may initially appear to be a bill from a government agency. The mailings attempt to get the homeowner to pay for a copy of their real estate deed or a property profile. Additional information regarding this type of letter can be found on the Minnesota Attorney General's page Real Estate Deed Soliciation Scams
