The State Exam Station, located at 418 Pine Street in Chaska, is in a shared facility with the Chaska License Center which is operated by Carver County.

Exam Station hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This Exam Station does not have a local phone number. If you have questions about your driver's license, please call the state office at 651-201-7777. Please note there is not an evaluator at this location. 

Class D Knowledge and Road Tests:

Class D Knowledge and Road Tests offered at the Exam Station are administered by the State of Minnesota. If you have any questions or concerns related to testing, contact the State of Minnesota directly at 651-201-7777.

Limited License:

Obtaining a Limited License (Work Permit) may require that you pay fees, take the appropriate tests, complete an application for a new license, and speak to an evaluator. There is not an evaluator at the Chaska location. There are usually evaluators in the Plymouth, Eagan, Arden Hills, St Paul, St Cloud, and Rochester exam stations. Check the State's website for availability and to schedule an appointment if applicable.
