Welcome to the Carver County Environmental Services page. Our team creates and runs programs that meet state rules and help protect the county’s natural environment. We focus on three main areas: waste, feedlots, and septic systems.

We work with local, state, and national partners to plan, study, and carry out this work. To learn more, you can explore the pages linked here. You’ll find information about our partners, helpful resources, and reports that guide our programs.

Studies, Reports & Plans

Carver County’s solid and hazardous waste programs are shaped by a combination of regional and county-level planning efforts. These programs are directed by the Regional Solid Waste Policy Plan, Regional Solid Waste Master Plan, and the County Solid Waste Master Plan. In addition, they are informed by the findings of studies and reports that address specific waste management issues and opportunities.
