• Reduce waste, reuse materials, or improve recycling
• Benefit the environment and the community

What the Grant Can Cover

• Recycling and organics bins
• Recycling equipment
• Educational materials
• Compostable products (BPI-certified)
• Start-up organics hauling costs
• Reusable food service items

Note: Traditional recycling hauling costs are not eligible.

Funding Details

• Funding is limited and awarded first-come, first-served
• Most funds are paid as reimbursement
• Contact staff before applying to discuss your project

How to Apply

1. Contact Environmental Services to discuss your project
2. Complete the application form
3. Submit a short project plan (up to 2 pages) that includes:
   • The problem you want to solve
   • Your goals and how you will measure success
   • Your timeline and expected results
   • A list of items and costs
4. If selected, staff will contact you to complete the process

Requirements After Funding

• Maintain your program for at least 3 years
• Report waste reduction results during and after the project
