
Carver County Parks offers a variety of fishing opportunities, including shoreline fishing, fishing piers and boat access locations.
Baylor Regional Park
Fishing Access
Anglers may fish from the shoreline within park boundaries, except in the designated beach area.
A fishing pier is located next to the beach.
Boat Access
A public boat access is located outside the park on County Road 135 along the east side of Eagle Lake.
Lake Minnewashta Regional Park
Fishing Access
Anglers may fish from the shoreline within park boundaries, except in the designated beach area.
A fishing pier is located west of the swimming beach. Parking for the fishing pier is available near the beach.
Boat Access
A paved boat access is located within the park.
The City of Chanhassen limits boat access parking to 35 vehicles with trailers. When all trailer parking spaces are occupied, additional watercraft launches are not permitted until a parking space becomes available.
Fishing from the boat access dock is prohibited under Carver County Park Ordinance 91.08.
Lake Waconia Regional Park
Fishing Access
Shoreline fishing is not permitted within the park due to limited shoreline access and potential conflicts with beach activities.
Boat Access
Boat access is available at several locations around Lake Waconia, including:
- Minnesota Department of Natural Resources public access within Lake Waconia Regional Park
- County Road 92 (Laketown Parkway) and County Road 155 intersection
The public access within the park includes parking for up to 36 vehicles with trailers.
Lake Bavaria Boat Access
A boat launch and dock are available at this location.
