Carver County, in coordination with project partners, is planning improvements along Highway 27 between Highway 10 and the Wright County border. The project will address long-standing flooding concerns and extend the life of the roadway through pavement rehabilitation and resurfacing. 

Project Benefits

  • Improved ride quality and pavement conditions.
  • Raised roadway elevation to reduce flooding and improve reliability.
  • Updated roadway to support future growth and development along the corridor.
  • Increased pavement strength from nine-ton to ten-ton (per axle).

Anticipated Project Schedule

  • Design, permitting and final plans complete: Spring 2026.
  • Construction: Summer through Fall 2026.
