Home MenuHighway 30 Project - Goose Lake Area
Carver County is designing safety and pavement improvements along County Road 30 between County Road 10 and Highway 25, between Mayer and Waconia.
The project will widen shoulders and reconstruct the pavement while using the existing roadway alignment where possible. Design work includes evaluating curves and sight distances, improving drainage systems, addressing soil conditions, and coordinating required permits with state and local agencies.
Key project benefits include:
- Wider shoulders.
- Improved sight lines.
- Utility pole relocation further from the roadway.
- Pavement replacement.
Open House Resources
An open house was held on Feb. 4, 2026, at the Mayer Community Center to share planned safety and pavement improvements within the project area.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet with the project design team, review proposed improvements, learn more about the design process and project schedule, and provide feedback.
Community members who were unable to attend are encouraged to review the materials and submit comment forms to Jordan Van Oort, Project Manager.
Funding
This project is funded through a combination of transportation advancement account funds, state aid, and wheelage tax dollars.
