This plan was developed as part of Minnesota’s statewide highway safety planning process. It uses crash data to identify where serious crashes are happening and what can be done to prevent them.

The goal is simple: reduce crashes that result in fatalities or serious injuries.

The plan:

• Identifies high-risk locations on the county highway system.
• Recommends effective, low-cost safety improvements.
• Aligns with state, regional, and national safety efforts.
• Positions the County to compete for available safety funding

The County Roadway Safety Plan was adopted in March 2023.
