Background

The purpose of the County State-Aid Highway (CSAH) 92 Planning Study is to look at how to improve roads on the east side of Waconia. In earlier studies, experts recommended where a new road connection should go and how much space it would need. This road would connect Highway 5 and CSAH 10 and is part of the East Waconia Bypass plan.

The road is expected to be constructed in 5-20 years in phases as funding allows and as development occurs. The City of Waconia and Carver County are working together to make sure new developments follow a shared plan for future roads and transportation needs.

This study will help finalize where the road will go, figure out how much traffic it will need to handle, decide what needs to be done first, and create a clear plan for the future.
